Red Hot Chili Peppers.... Eh

Throughout the week, we jam-packed our ears with new music and forced ourselves to considers music from the 1990's. One album we boosted our spirits with was Red Hot Chili Peppers' Blood Sugar Sex Magik. The album consists of five songs: Give It Away, Under the Bridge, Suck My Kiss, Breaking the Girl, and If You Have to Ask. Overall, the album was pretty good and I enjoyed listening to it and educating myself with their songs. The album Blood Sugar Sex Magik is the fifth studio album of the American rock group and the musical styles were different than their other albums. Another thing that I noticed with this album was that the album's subject matter incorporated sexual innuendos and references to drugs and death. The album also includes "themes of lust and exuberance", according to Wikipedia.org. I'm glad we listened to this album however, in my opinion it wasn't terrible but it also wasn't the best. When it comes to music, I can be pretty critical towards what I like and what I don't like and when it comes to Red Hot Chili Peppers, I confidently believe that the band is adequate but not the best.
