Not the city Chicago, but the band!

According to Billboard chart statistics, Chicago is second only to the Beach Boys as the most successful American rock band of all time, in terms of both albums and singles (allmusic). Well this week in class we listened to the band Chicago, the musically talented group who was heavy in the 1970's, and I really enjoyed listening to their music. To be honest, I'm picky about listening to older bands but I'm starting to really enjoy this band. In my opinion, Chicago is one of those bands whose name you could never forget after you start to like them. I'm so glad our teacher played their song Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is. That song is a great song, both lyrically and melodically. After hearing them and liking them, I looked up some of their other songs,  such as Hard To Say I'm Sorry and Will You Still Love Me. Those songs as well are definitely some of my favorites because of their well- written lyrics that mean something to me and because they have soft yet powerful rhythms. Those aren't the only songs I liked but the top three. After listening and approving Chicago, I've realized that I should be more open to listening to new selections whether or not they're new bands. Who knows what all I've been missing! Don't make the same mistake. Widen your selection and see for yourself the amazing new artists that you find. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
